Thats right, the very next show from the Aural Pleasure team is hosted solely by me, Big Dave. Kevin thinks that he will either have done too much celebrating/commiserating after the Carling Cup Final and not be in any fit state to do the show so it falls to me to carry the show for one week only.

Last night's show was a little different from normal. Because of all the snow and ice and cold the show was split over two locations. Kev did the first hour of the show from Aural Pleasure Towers and I took over at 9 o'clock to do the second half of the show from Countdown to the Weekend Towers.

All in all it went quite well despite Kev's reservations about the choice of music I might play. As usual though we rocked it and the show sounded great. The most important question was why weren't you listening? If you were then congratulations, you were part of something that will probably never happen again.

We had the usual selection of fun and nonsense including the 'Geek Shot', 'Four Play' and 'Aural Treasure'.

Oh yes, it's a new year and the return of the self confessed flagship show on Firebrand Radio.

That's right, Aural Pleasure is back after our well deserved Christmas break and we want you to tune in and listen and continue to make us the best show on Firebrand Radio.

We will continue with our familiar brand of entertainment and music and hopefully will be introducing some new features this year which we hope you will enjoy.

So tune in and relax as we wind down your weekend with some top class music and chat.

That's right, as you may have heard on Sunday's Aural Pleasure producer Sarah has decided she has delusions of grandeur and gone and got her own show.

Countdown to the Weekend starts tomorrow at 20:00-22:00 where Sarah will be playing her favourite music so expect cheese up the doodad and stuff that we refuse to play on Aural Pleasure.

Of course she will still be with us every Sunday but we won't be giving her any tips, we are the station's number one show and want to stay that way.

As an added treat Big Dave will be helping her out on her first show in a kind of spin-off show cross-over type event so that it isn't all too weird. Tune in, tell your friends that we are music liberation.

After a week off we are back and we'll be on GMT since the clocks go back on Saturday night.

What this means for our UK listeners is that we will be on at the same time as normal but all you overseas guys, and we know you listen, will have to tune in at 20:00GMT.

After Xeserox filling in for us last week there will be a lot to talk about. He broke two of the cardinal rules of AP by playing ABBA and early 80s tunes. Kevin is understandably upset by this and has been planning to get him back all week. What will he do? You have to tune in to find out.

We'll have all the usual fun and games as well including the Random Tune Slot, Guilty Pleasure and coverage from the days news. Hopefully Xeserox won't be too upset to give us the Premiereship Football roundup as seen by and American.

That's right, the mighty Xeserox is standing in this week for us as we are taking a well earned break for Kevin's birthday.

We are assured that it will be in the Aural Pleasure style that you are all accustomed to with the powerplay, guilty pleasure and as always the weekly football round up as seen by an American.

We already have a bunch of regular listeners and we thank you dearly for that but what we need now is for each of you to tell a friend to tune in on Sundays and join in the fun. Hopefully that friend will tell a friend and so on and so forth and before you know it everyone is listening.
