Listen to Clip’s “Sunset Blvd”: The Ones

The must-hear rap song of the day
Clip: “Sunset Blvd”

In Clip’s bass-heavy digital dreamworld, haters are everywhere. She’s gone from behind a boba tea counter to the coolest circles in underground rap; now, as the New York–born, Texas-raised rapper establishes in her new single “Sunset Blvd,” she’s watching the sunrise in L.A., wearing the darkest Rick Owens shades to shrug off unwanted attention. In her silky, effortless flow, she maintains she’ll “never switch up” despite coming into a rockstar lifestyle. Shrouded in a shimmering, holographic fog, she has flights to catch and nothing to prove.

With artists releasing songs at a fast and furious pace, it’s difficult for the average hip-hop head to keep track of it all—no matter how tapped in they are. That’s why we created The Ones, a daily post to highlight the song you need to hear.
