Olsen’s rendition of the big band track appears in National Geographic’s new limited series A Small Light

Angel Olsen has shared a new cover of “My Reverie,” first made famous by Larry Clinton & His Orchestra and Patti Duggan. Olsen’s rendition appears in National Geographic’s new limited series A Small Light, as well as the original soundtrack for the show. Check out Olsen’s cover below.

Este Haim served as executive music producer for A Small Light, which also features covers by Kamasi Washington, Weyes Blood, Moses Sumney, and more. Today, Sharon Van Etten and Michael Imperioli released their take on the Ink Spots’ “I Don’t Want to Set the World on Fire.” Last week, Danielle Haim shared her version of Doris Day’s “Till We Meet Again” and Kamasi Washington released his cover of Charlie Parker’s “Cheryl.”

In the show, Bel Powley plays Miep Gies—a Dutch woman of Austrian descent who helped hide Anne Frank and her family in her Amsterdam attic. In addition to A Small Light (Songs From the Limited Series), arriving May 23, composer Ariel Marx will release her original score for the show on May 19.
